1810 Large Silver Coin Mexico 8 Reales Mint Mark Mo Assayer HJ Ferdinand VII of Spain Toned Very Fine or Better. For Your Mexican or Silver Coin Collection-MEX056. Description: A nice looking and very fine or better 1810 Mexican silver coin. This is the Ferdinand the seventh 8 Reales depicting the bust of King Ferdinand VII of Spain facing right, on the obverse. The obverse of this large, silver dollar size coin, has the legend FERDIN. GRATIA surrounding the king's bust and the date 1810 below it. REX" followed by the mint mark "Mo then 8R.

These coins were used extensively in the US before the silver dollars were circulated. The coin is nicely toned and still shows all the details very well.

It is a truly a nice coin with nice eye appeal and has nice heft to it. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description. Weight and Size: The coin is 39 mm in diameter and weighs 26.7 grams of 89.6% silver. Condition: I would grade this coin as a nice very fine or better with all the details still being well preserved and showing general honest wear commensurate with its age and circulated state. The coin shows wear to the facial details of the king and his armor on the obverse. The reverse shows less wear to its details when compared to the obverse. The words on the ribbon show considerable wear as well as some of the details in the base of the crown above the shield.

The coin has scratches, dings and bag marks throughout, which do not distract from its nice eye appeal. Other than that, the coin is problem free and in great condition for being over 212 years old. Please view photos for additional condition information.
